Copywriting as a service and a career option has surged in popularity recently. There’s a simple reason for this prosperous outlook. Online business is booming, every single internet business, without exception, needs copywriting resulting in high demand of copywriting jobs.

What is copywriting?

Copywriting is the practice of creating words that are designed to elicit a certain response from the reader. Copywriting is closely connecting to the process of promoting or selling a brand, product, or service, even a business, and making it, by definition, a kind of marketing.

Copywriting to elicit response

Eliciting a response, in direct or indirect ways, is extremely important to copywriting. Copywriting is not simply to make one copy but is written to draw out response. Types of responses that copywriting makes relate to a broad variety of shapes and sizes as followings:

  • Blog posts
  • Landing pages
  • Brochures
  • Presentations
  • Video scripts
  • Headlines

Contrary to conventional thinking, there are situations when you want to drive an action right away. For all intents and purposes, this sort of copywriting is referred to as “direct response copywriting,” or so they believed.

However, Immediate action isn’t always the aim. When the reader sees your material, they may not be in a position to take quick action, or having them take immediate action may not be the highest priority. Imagine if every blog post definitely was so focused on getting your email signup that it cut off the article’s pretty key conclusion and made you sign up to read it.
